i dont knoew if its a 1le or not

ok guys my cars a 89 iroc-z.......i boguth it from a gm dealer and theys id it was a 1le...its got 4 wheels dics brakes........anyways its got an aftermarket exhasut system with only 1 cat but if u look under it it looks like theres a pipe that was welded shut so maybe thats where the toher one ran to.....its got aftermarket fogs........no a/c but does have power but its easy enough to add power.......its does have aftermarket t-tops and paint but it was originally white with no t-tops.....it does sit lower then msot iroc's.....in the glove compartment it says 1le on the rpo codes thign or whatever......its a 305tpi 5spd......umm....it got like 12 inch brakes and the dealer had to repalce them when i bought it so it could be certifyed and they said there basically vette brakes.....and the aluminum drive shaft i dunno about cuzz i havent looked.......what do you all think?

Since you have the RPO sheet and it has the option listed I would say that it probably is one. Usually on the RPO sheet there is also the vin#. See if it matches the vin on the front of the car. If so I would say it is one.

If it has rpo code 1LE, and the vin# matches, you have an IROC 1LE. Simple as that. If you ever restore it, you might want to put it as close as you can back to original, including color. Don't know that I'd go so far as removing the t-tops though.
