okay ppl my bird is totaly wrecked .....ive been kinda lookin at an 85 camaro it had z 28 decals (graphics shop) and the hood and ground effects i have no idea what this car is tho......the guy said that he was told it was an iroc but im pretty sure its not .....so i was wondering all u camaro guys could help me out by telling me what i should look 4 to tell me what this is like u know is it a Z or an RS or what somthing should be able to tell me ...............so im just gonna thank u in advance:hail: ......DaBirdMan

Do a search. This same subject was discussed in relation to an 87 Z28 vs Iroc. 85 would have the same differences.

Ok, start with the technical data on the main page, look under 1985 for a list of what the Iroc package included.

Basically, check the RPO codes and that will tell you if the car is an IROCZ.

Since its an 85 it can't be an RS cause the RS wasn't released until 1987, and only then in some parts of the country.

For 85, its either a coupe, a berlinetta, a Z28, or an Iroc Z28.
Crunch the VIN with the VIN decoder. That will narrow it down to either a Berlinetta or not. If its a Berlinetta, you're done. If its not a berlinetta you'll need to continue to RPO codes. If it has the RPO code Z28, its a Z28. IF it has the RPO code B4Z its an Iroc Z28. If it doesn't have the Z28 rpo code its a coupe.

 

ok thx man thats more like it .............i diddnt think the belinetta had the z hood or the ground effects but when i go there again i am gonna grab the vin and try to find the rpo code so thax alot hopfully ill find that it is an irocz that would be super cool
