4th VIN degit of 84TA IS an "A" ????

4th VIN degit of 84TA IS an "A" ????
Its an 84 TA which I'm about to buy. I thought ALL F-bodies had an "F" as the 4th degit...
The only possibility I can think of for the "A" is "Anniversary" , since it's an Anniversary Edition. Is that right? Anyone care to shed some light on the subject?

The 4th degit is supposed to tell the body type, I'm not talking about RPO's or anything.
For example, "F" for F-body
"G" for G-body
"J" for J-body
etc, etc
Does anyone know why there's NOT an F as the 4th degit, and it's an "A" ?

From 82-84 its how I just posted. 85-on the digit was F for F-Bodies obviously.

The 5th digit will be S for Base, W for Trans Am, and X for S/E.
