RPO T93 - Even if you don't know, you can help.

According to the RPO decoder at this site, RPO T93 lists as Taillamps, Special. I believe this to mean the grid style taillamps found on 1985 - 1992 Z28/IROC-Z's (and later RS's). But according to another database, T93 lists has the center brake lamp. If you know your codes, please reply using the following format. I'll begin:

1987 Z28 Convertible
T93 is listed.
Grid-style taillights.

1987 IROC-Z Coupe
T93 is listed.
Grid-style taillights.

1987 IROC-Z Convertible (no longer own)
T93 is listed.
Grid-style taillights.

Thanks all.

I think it means grid tail lights.

I should also add, I've had some discussion about this over at iroczone. I don't believe his car came that way from GM.

The majority of research I have done list this as:

Lamp, Tail & Stop: Special

some variations list:

Lamp, Tail & Stop: Special (smoked)

I don't think it is referring to the grid style per se as other carlines (ex: Monte Carlo) use this RPO.

I am not familiar enough with the Camaro line to know but by chance are the tail lights on the cars you list different than the base models in relation to them being either smoked or a grid style?

If they are I think it signifies a variance of the base model or more so refers to them being smoked as opposed to pure red.

Ya, both cars have the smoked, grid style tail lights, the tail lights were the same on the 85 z28 and the 87 iroc. I think we may have convinced the guy at iroc zone that his car didn't come that way, 82-84 z28 tail lights on an 88 iroc, from the factory. He's looking for grid tail lights. Even though his car is low miles, it doesn't mean it hasn't been messed with by the previous owners.
