I am looking at a 1986 camaro iroc-z, all looks to be iroc, BUT the base interior. is this normal? and it doesnt not have power windows. Like i said the interitor is like they had in the sport coupes, It has I roc front end, i roc tail lights, all that, wheels etc.
But did some come without the normal i roc interior?

looks like a iroc to me othere than the some what out of place iroc decal but the onley way to know for sure it to run the rpo codes.and irocs could come with out the power windows

Back in the late 80's, I worked with a guy that special ordered an '86 IROC with crank windows, no A/C. He pretty much made it into a drag strip car; replaced the 305 with a 350 and installed every part in the SLP catalog.

I recently saw the car in town. Sadly, it's a POS now.

 

The IROC door decal is correct for the year, including the color scheme, IIRC. Looks like the real deal to me, right down to the fog lamps, which should have an OE type rocker switch in the dash, lower left side. Check for a Wonderbar and the door placard for 16" wheels.

Most irocs's have the "deluxe interior" likw with the separate headrest.

 

AFAIK there was no Iroc specific interior..

. . . all the Camaros in '86 (including the IrocZ) had different package levels from very plain to loaded.

 

Look for the RPO code B4Z (IROC sport Equipment package). If you find that code, the car's an IROC period (as I think it is anyway).

Have you looked under the hood?? Since almost all Irocs were tpi that would be a dead giveaway. I did have a friend who's mother had a 87 or 88 iroc but it wasnt tpi,and it was had roll up windows and manual trunk for some reason she ordered it that way.

 

My 85 IROC was an LG4, a carbed car. IIRC, the LG4 would have been available in 86 as well. Again, check for the B4Z RPO.

Well im like 99.9% sure its an iroc, I mean llike 100% yes its a TPI. The guy that has it, it was his moms, then she died in 1995 and left it to him, he didnt drive it much at all, its all original, not molested at all, still stock radio, just has no head liner. and yeah i bought it.

yeah, The frame rails are SOLID, all under is SOLID, no rust at all really, BUT the passenger door is rusted out, tho u cant tell at all by looking at it from outside, other then that all solid.

 

I believe its an Iroc-z b/c it totally looks like it. My 86 iroc-z is also a base model iroc-z, no power windows, no power doorlocks, and no rear release hatch, with a TPI see.

Yeah I really like urs my dad wants to find a canary yellow one like urs, really nice, BUT yours does have upgraded/deluxe interior, Mine does have power locks tho.

 

heh well i didnt know lol. just its a base model Iroc-z lol I would want to see pictures of that non upgraded interior.

 

Yeah its the same color interior, But its like the seats that come in a sport coupe for something like that, idk. Ill get pics tommarow, its dark right now.
