Got a 1990 Pontiac Firebird Pro/Am 1 #51 of 100
I recently found a very rare 1990 firebird pro/am 1. It is a one owner car With ALLLL original documents! (window sticker, reciept tag, dealer key tag, much other stuff) It only has 94k miles It was in storage for 10 years and has one of the cleanest bodies i have ever seen. My plan is to fix it all up!
I have been researching a little about these, not much info out there. So if anyone could please share what they know and what this car might be worth.

I love Pro/Ams, hard to tell from the pics but does it also have the high rise hood? (looks like a mirrored formula hood)

They're worth about the same as a base model Firebird. If a potential buyer likes the Choo Choo Customs treatment, it's worth more. If a potential buyer dislikes the CCC treatment, it's worth less. But really at the end of the day, they're base Firebirds with aftermarket add ons.

The Pro/Am is a base firebird that was sent to Choo Choo Customs for some body and interior inhancements, then shipped to the factory. They are a base firebird body with only a TBI 305 or even a V6 (I've seen one). CCC didn't do any performance mods, only beautification mods. I have seen pictures of one guy who claimed he had a Pro/Am that was built using a Trans Am, but I would have to see it to believe it.
The #1 tell-tale that it is a Pro/Am is the huge fake cowl induction hood scoop that is glued and screwed to the stock Firebird hood. They usually added different wheels and tires, the hood scoop, sometimes modified the interior, added the decals and dash plaque, exhaust tips, etc... These things also sold pretty high at the dealerships. They went for almost the same price as a Trans Am, if I remember correctly.
They are really pretty cars, but are not and never will be worth what a Trans Am of the same year/condition will be worth. They are neat, though, and it isn't likely that the guy down the road will have one like yours. I have seen four of them around here. Since, CCC is in Chattanooga, Tennessee, I believe that you will see more of them in Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky and the Carolinas.

I hate the wood grain bezels. Other than that, it seems very clean. I'd like to see some pics of the hood though.

Choo Choo customs DID make the Pro-Am, as well as the Bandit series cars. They also made some Camaro conversions, like the Camaro SS, and Team Camaro...
