Thanks for the link! I'm definitely following your window switch progress. I've been wanting auto up/down for some time.

Re: BraveTECH Custom Dome Light (Ramp Up / Down Effect)

I purchased one of these and really like it.
It's a lot brighter than I thought it would be too, lights up the entire front and back seat areas completely without blinding you.

It replaced a cheap square/grid LED light from the jungle website that just sat on the lens. With this it's far enough away from the lens where you can't see the individual LED chips.

The only thing that I would say the closest thing to a con(and barely one at that) is that the connector for the ground wire you push onto the dome light mounting stud is a bit small, I had to spread it open just a little bit to get it to slide on but still hold tight for a good connection.
I'd still give it 5 stars though.

Re: BraveTECH Custom Dome Light (Ramp Up / Down Effect)

I also got the dome light and hatch light. Both work well.
The extra wire with the dome light lays on the lens cover and leaves a black outline visible but I don't normally stare at my light and have long forgotten about it.

I don't normally buy stuff like this, usually put my money into performance parts, but this was something I wanted to get rid of the smoking hot stock light bulbs. Glad I did it.

Re: BraveTECH Custom Dome Light (Ramp Up / Down Effect)

Installed mine today. It's nice. BRIGHT! Cargo light is bright too.

Yes, the black ground wire for the ramping circuitry is visible through the lens, just barely, but I plugged the wire onto the stud on the passenger side of the fixture, where I won't ever see it. Regardless, as crappy, cheap and dull as our opaque "white" dome light lenses are, the wire behind it just looks like faded discoloration in the lens.

It would be nice if someone were to make a diffused clear lens for our dome lights, like our cargo light lenses, and like new cars have today. Not only would it make the fixture look nicer, but also the color of the light source would show through more accurately.

Re: BraveTECH Custom Dome Light (Ramp Up / Down Effect)

Just FYI in case somebody is as dumb as me.... If you think your LED hatch light is broken, then flip it because it is polarity sensitive. Won't work installed backwards. Took me way too long to figure that out.

What is the quiescent current draw of the dome light and trunk light?
