Looking to sell my PMD seats. They are in overall decent condition. I have both seat belt guides and some trim. I'm not for sure if the trim is correct. Both emblems are intact. I'm asking $850, not really looking to ship. I could put them on a pallet if you arrange them to be picked up. I'm located 15 mins from Springfield, Illinois

They are AR9 Viscount seats, not “PMD”. They were used in 1982 Firebird S/Es and optional in 1982 Trans Ams with the B20 luxury group.

 

Yes but everyone referrs to them as "PMD" seats. And you are correct about the S/E Firebirds as well...

 

Yes unfortunately you are correct. In the last 30 years of owning and building these cars, that is one of the biggest pet peeves of mine. That term was made popular by the knight rider geek squad over 20 years ago. I prefer to correctly refer to parts and options.

 

I sold a set of these last year for $500. They were out of my 82. I had people from Spain, Greece, Germany and Austria who were driving me nuts wanting them. They all were surprised on shipping and I sold them local to a KITT guy. It was crazy how much people love these seats.

 

Yeah it’s insane what they pay for the seats and the N89s. The seats themselves are not at all comfortable. I’ve had a total of 6 82s. I hated the seats. They sure spend a lot of money building a clone of someone else’s idea! 🤣

 

I have them in my car. 4th-gen seats are much better, but I really like the look of the '82 Viscount/"PMDs"...
