As the title states im looking for a set of decent black custom cloth door panels for power windows. Even better would be a decent set of conteur door panels in burnt orange or black (as long as the carpeting at the bottom is black). It does not matter if the fabric itself is not that great of shape since im getting them recovered. They just need to be in good shape on the back for my upholsterer. Basically as long as they have the black carpet on the bottom straight across (so 82-87?) im interested. Let me know what ya got.

Hmm, I have a pair of black ones (85-86) that I was going to sacrifice for the upper cloth. If you can use the rest of them , then I wouldn't feel so bad about it.

 

How good of shape is the backing and the black carpet at the bottom? Power windows?

 

They are power, and the carpet is in pretty good shape. The backing is warped some on the pass side, a little more on the driver side.

So are you going with the black and red/orange Conteur interior?

 

Yes and no as far as the conteur interior goes. Here is a picture of what mine looks like now. Its not stock as far as color combos go. Im just looking to find a set of door panels that i can use to finish it off (i still have enough NOS red/orange fabric).



If your backing is warped im most likely not interested. Thanks for the offer though.

 

Wow, that looks fantastic! I myself had considered doing the bolsters in black, rather than red. I'm kind of leaning toward red though, since I have red/orange and black door panels to use.

I'll dig through the rest of my door panel collection and see what I come up with. Can you use the carpeting from one panel, and the backing from another? Or do you need them to be together?

 

Im not really sure to be honest. That could probably work. I just dont want to cut up my door panels since they are in very nice shape and my buddy wants them for his car. I was basically hoping to find a set of conteurs so that i could give them to my upholsterer and he would know exactly how to go about redoing them rather than me hand him tons of pictures of what they should look like and give him nothing else to go on. Let me know what you come up with though and we'll see. I have a line on some conteur door panels but the guy hasnt gotten back to me.
