Re: dash pad

Decent used pads are getting hard to find and it really depends on how picky you are.

I have an NOS one still in the original GM box but I'am afraid its out of your price range.

Be patient and maybe something will come along.

Re: dash pad

This is a glue on cover for your existing dash. The one I saw on a car looked terrible around the edges and the defrost vent areas! I think it is a waste of $50.00. Look for a good original one.

Better check that again Sir. Thoese are reproduction pads made by OER which stands for Original Equipment Reproductions. Its a way of confusing buyers who think they are buying Original Equipemt Manufacture parts. Be careful, it fools a lot of people.

I just removed one from an '86 TA. Is it the same as Camaro? I'll need to check condition but I think it's in good shape.

Re: dash pad

Just checked and it's totally crack free. One of the little side vent plastic inserts is missing. It may be lying around in the car somewhere. I'll look. If you're interested let me know your zip code and I'll check on shipping. Asking $130 plus shipping.

Your dash pad looks like it is for a 90-92 camaro. On the 84-89 dash pads the holes punched out on the speaker grills aren't oval shaped, but a rectangle shape. If your looking for a true year original dash pad.

I haven't seen this pointed out before so I thought I would mention it for those that are interested in original.

Most guys know that the 82-83 are also different in appearance with the "stitching look" around the edges, although all three dashes will fit 82-92 Camaros.

Re: dash pad

Hello All,

Former NCGuy68 here now under new user name.

The NOS Camaro dash pad I have was purchased back in 1988 - GM # 12511119. I ordered it for a 82 and this is what I got. It is the later style and does NOT have the 82-83 'rounded' front edge.

It is identical to the factory installed Camaro pads for 84-92. It will NOT fit a Bird.

This pad was discontinued around 1993 as a service replacement by GM. I'am sure there were a few in the pipe-line after that.

Camaro Central is offering this same pad for $2000.00 and don't even show a photo of it - go figure.

I have to disagree with you on your statement.

The speaker cut-outs on my pad are often referred to as 'waffle design' and are factory correct in every way.
