perferably from a trans am around 1988 but anything will most likely do as long as its in good condition.

not sure what white plastic thing is but most likely dont need it. Just send me a picture if the **** so i can make sure what it looks like. Thanks soo much

The rod goes under the handle and is what pushes down on the shifting mechanism when you push the button. If yours works OK you shouldn't need it but sometimes they are broken so I figured I would mention it
