Heya folks

My odometer board died suddenly. Was testing all the connections and connectors and all is fine and in spec, even applied direct power to the board but it does not turn on anymore.

I have to do inspection next month and the odometer is not working and therefore also not letting me change the speedo from mph to kmh which of course is not really good as we use kmh here and most probably they will let me fail because of that and this will actually mean that the car can't be driven anymore on the streets. Idiotic laws I know but it is what it is. GPS solutions etc. are also not allowed as they do not work in tunnels and we have a lot of tunnels in Switzerland, you know, the longest ones on the whole planet ;-)

So I'm in desperate need of a running good working odometer. My LCD was fine so if someone just has the board itself without the screen or the screen is broken I don't care as I can move my lcd over. So please offer everything you have.

I live in Switzerland but also have an address in the states (Sarasota FL) so you do not need to care about shipping overseas, the package collecting service will do that.

You didn't tell us anything about your car. I'm guessing you have a GTA with digital dash option.....

 

Well, first it is a third gen F-Body forum, this limits it to Camaros or Firebirds and 2nd you should just read the member infos ;-) What else do yo want to know besides that? Whole build story?

 

If it is an 89 model year, it cannot have a factory digital dash. These where only offered 86-88. Maybe this is why he was asking? Anyway, I have a buddy over here in germany who has a spare odometer with the board. Shoot me a PM in german and I can tell you more. Easier for you than import from the US. Baselland isn't far from the german border, maybe you have a german shipping adress.

 

Look it's relatively easy. The car has an digi dash installed. I don't care if it is an 88 or 87 or 86 car. The car was registered in Switzerland in 89. Heck there are people out there who did digi dash swaps into their 90s bird the hard way and it still works and it is still the same digi dash. But fact is, the car has a digi dash installed and and I want to source an odometer board for it so that I have a running one. Cehbra here from the forum was that kind to give me a working one for the time being and to pass inspection but I still need one ;-)

I indeed have a German address but it is also no issue to have it shipped from the states. I almost ship monthly parts to me so please people who have one, offer it ;-)
