Rear Hatch Motor Assembly / Reversing Switch

I mainly need the reversing switch but figured for the right price I'd buy a whole assembly if it includes everything just to have extra parts on hand since both my cars use the same one. If you just have a reversing switch to sell I'd be happy to just buy that as well. I'm about a week away from "converting" mine to a manual one if I can't find something without spending a ton. Needs to be the pre 91 style. 85-90 or whatever it is.

Re: Rear Hatch Motor Assembly / Reversing Switch

No option to buy a reversing switch there. The only one I've found to buy directly is https://www.wc-autoparts.com/1986-19...ersing-switch/ and it's far from worth almost $200 for me.
I took mine fully apart and tried to clean/sand the contacts but it still won't work. I did it before a couple times as well and managed to limp it a few more years but I'm giving up on mine. I've confirmed there's one at a junkyard a couple hours away but at $50 + 4 hours worth of gas I'd rather buy one or a whole unit off someone with a parts car who doesn't need it.

Fought this battle for a couple years too. I finally gave up and put a manual switch under the license plate. My switch cleaned up fine, looked like new, just wouldn't flip over internally. Can really mess up some stuff if it doesn't shut off.
