Hatch reverse switch issue

Sometimes my hatch works as it should and sometimes the pull down unit comes up and wont get down.
In my case it's the reverse switch which stucks and won't switch over.
So I have to remove the rear panel and do some hits on the switch to switch over.
Is there a new switch or better replacement available to solve the problem

Re: Hatch reverse switch issue

I'm pretty sure that switch just stops the motor, -and presumably switches polarity?. ....so if the motor is going up, after the hatch has popped, and it keeps on running...that's the switch issue. If it stops, it's because the physical switch was thrown, which stops the motor. ....then in reverse, the motor pulls down, until the switch is thrown again, once again stopping the motor once it's fully pulled down.

You're saying the hatch pops open, the unit comes up, but then when you go to close it, the motor never pulls it down? Can you confirm the switch was physically thrown on the way up?
