has anyone ever put c4 sport vette seats in a thirdgen?
Hello
I have a friend that has some c4 sport seats for his camaro. He was going to take his recaros out and put these seats in. Unfortunatly because they were both power and the floor pans arent at an equal height with eachother because of the cat converter hump. Thus one was higher than the other. We determined that the power on both sides needed to go because the seats sat really high.
We figured if we used the factory non power tracks with big spacers on the dr side to even the height out that it would work. But by that time we said forget it [wanting to get back to the LS1] and put the recaros back in.
Has anyone ever tried to put c4 seats in a thirdgen? If so did they make a list of things that must be done?
Thanks

No matter what seats you put in, your easiest way will be to modify the stock thirdgen seat tracks to fit to the new seats. As you discovered, the corvette seat tracks are designed to bolt to a flat floor, not the goofy thirdgen floor. The thirdgen & 4th gen brackets are already set up to deal with the floor. If the power brackets are too high, buy a used set of manual thirdgen brackets. I'm sure you can get them dirt cheap through the classifieds.

well... we did put the factory manual tracks on and found that they sat quite high, now for me... i was ok [but im 6'1"] but as for my friend [6'3"] it was a bit of a squeeze. But i guess a little lowering was in order. If it turns out that he doesnt want them i will try to install them and make them work, but until then thanks for posting guys.
