clean the tracks if that doesnt work take off the driver side kick panel and make sure the relay is screwed tightly to the frame. that's how they are grounded and they work their way loose over time causing lazy locks

My stereo guy is installing an Alarm system in my car and he says for an extra $20 he'll replace the door actuators with universal ones. I tell how well they work when it's completed.

This is a common problem. Clean and lube the tracks--do the windows while you're in there. Check the following link for more possibilities:

Re: power door locks

To clean and lube the rods and tracks, what should be used? Like WD40 or a heavier grease? I know it's a simple question, but I'm just starting to learn to do these things myself.

I used WD to thoroughly clean (along with some elbow grease) and white grease to lube.

WD-40 to clean and white lithium is good. Don't use silicone lubricants.

Re: power door locks

yea, you'd be surprised how a little oil goes a long way. my hood latch wasn't releasing, i put some oil in it, and now it works beautifully. also, this isn't relavant, but keep your door hinges oiled, it will help resist wear. just keep everything oiled up and it should work fine.

i am confused, what tracks are associated with the door locks? It is only the actuators and the connecting rods that go the the locks and handles.
