grand am HVAC controls to replace 4thgen

I was in the yard today and noticed a 93 ish grand am the HVAC controls looked similar to the 4thgen ones. It also used a cable to open and close the hot and cold. I think with sligt moutning mods it will work

That would be pretty sweet if it does work. Be sure to keep us updated as I'm sure many of us would like to do this mod as well.

Well I scrapped the idea of the grand am controls in favor of a easier mounted smiliar sized setup from a sunfire! I have it wired in and everything works but the hot/cold cable (need to finish it with mods) pics to follow.

But what if it fits in a 4thgen dash and it's cable will work with the 3rdgen setup.......

Holy crap, that did turn out nice!! It fits almost perfect. Good job man.

Was it from an older sunfire or a newer one?
