Building a roll cage

Hey,

I am going to build myself a roll cage to put in my car, it will be a 6pt cage, and i have access to the metal, mig welder, and pipe bender.

Now, i just need to see if anyone has done this before, and has some dimentions, ways to do it, and where to weld things to or some tips.

Any and all help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks

Sheldon

ask in the fabrication forum, more people there have done it.
Got a drill press with some hole saws for the fishmouthing?
What kind of welder? Mig and Tig are all that are NHRA legal IIRC.
You'll need some plates to weld to the floor.
I can't help ya, but ask in the fab forum, I know i've seen threads on this before.

Honestly... be honest with yourself now... are you really going to be raceing that little 305 hard enough that you might actually roll it at some point and really need a cage.. or is it just for looks... dont lie.... lol
