i cant seem to get the door panels off the car, i read the shop manual but they dont seem to budge when you push them up and out or whatever, and i dont want to break them, help?

 

I'd like to know too. I took mine off yesterday & at the top of the panel (on the wood/cardboard part) underneath the black trim piece I ripped the every single mounting hole trying to pry it off. Does not really matter on these cause the panels are all warped & water damaged & I have to buy new ones anyway, but for the future I'd like to know THE RIGHT way to do it.

 

this is what worked for me...

roll the window all the way down & open the doors,take off the armrest & stuff, start from the bottom & work up popping the plastic screws out of the door, once the doorpanel is flopping & the only thing holding it on is the black plastic that runs along the top, hold the door panel with one hand, now start from above the door handle & going forward, hit the black plastic... that's right i said' hit it' (but not too hard) with your other hand, a quick thump with the bottom of your fist should do it, if this works the clips should pop off & the door panel will come off,

i've done this at least twice & it's worked both times

 

do you mean just the panel or the black trim and the panel off as one piece, thats what im trying to do if get the panel and the black as one piece, as it is, cause its a lot easier to change stuff on teh inside then getting poked with those plastic screws while working in there.

 

the panel and the black trim comes off in two different pieces its kind of a pain

 

care to explain? id appreciate it

 

I use an air chisel, I've never broken a single plastic clip
