Dyeing door panel????
Anybody Ever dye his or her door panels? I want to change some my interior to black. I already have 4th Gen black leather seats.
Some of the plastic in the front is black, while in the back it's gray. The door panels are 2 tones. I want to dye them black if it's possible and/or worthwhile.

i've painted my interior plastic panels from blue to black with krylon fusion paint. it actually bonds to the plastic...not just dry on top of it. as for dying the door panels, i know my ex bf's dad did this to his 82 trans am, and it came out BEAUTIFUL! it looked stock. im not quite sure what he used, but im pretty sure it was rattle canned. krylon makes some sort of fabric dye u can spray, which i've used on the fabric sail panel that goes over the speakers. i don't have any complaints with it. work well for me. any sort of fabric dye on the carpeted part, and im sure krylon fusion again would work on the leather/vinyl part. just go to your advanced autoparts/napa/pepboys and look at their rattle can section...read the labels and what not. basically what i did.
good luck! dont forget the before and after pics
