Dash Swap

I'm looking at getting a new thirdgen. However, I really like the 90-92 style dash. I am wondering if it is possible to take a 82-89 shell, and take the 90-92 dash, wires, ducting and it mount up in the same holes?

Thanks, so basically if I have a parts car with what I want, it will bolt right up. Sweet.

I dont remember when Camaros switched to electronic speedos, but that might pose a problem. The gauge clusters are slightly different sizes with the two different dashes I'm pretty sure.

They switched to electric speedos in 90. If you need a dash, I have one. I still have the dash itself and the driver and passenger hush panels.

I just put a 92 dash in my 84.

Overall it's been pretty easy.

Just make sure you get a dash that hasn't all been cutup, get one that has all the connectors intact.

Here the thread I started on the swap.

Yes you'll have to swap out the VSS, but that was easy. No biggie at all.
