My 84 does not have a rear window defroster. I was wondering if anyone has tried the self adhesive grid kits that you can get through jc.whitney or if anyone has tried the mini 12 volt heater/defrosters with fans for the rear window. Any other suggestions or ideas would be appreciated.

 

Suggestion: Could swap the rear glass from another car. I used to know people who had the rear glass in storage because no one wanted to them. There are probably some people who would gladly give them away. I recommend asking around.

 

is there a factory harness for this? because if its easy to do, i might just do it myself also.

 

If you live in Southern California I will gladly give you my old hatch and hatch glass. Mine has the defrosters on it but it also has the bad tint. Shouldn't be that hard to remove, but the reason I replaced it was I didn't need defrosters. But ya, if you live in So Cal I will let you have mine for free.
