THE steering coloumn question

Right mates. i have a older camaro here and i want to swap into it the steering coloumn from a 94 transam. I has the radio support on it. and i would like to have that option on my car, Seeing as my grand cherokee has the much liked addition.

My question to you is;

"Can i put a 1994 Transams steering coloumn in my 84 Camaro and it fit?"

I will see this weekend regardless but im sure there is something i need to get before then. If anyone can help it would be appreciated.

Thanks
Joey

I have the wiring harness from a 94 firebird allready in my car, to help the addition of a modified LT1. so all wiring should be fine.

It kind of fits, but it doesnt work right.
Wiper blades dont work right. The module/switch inside the column that the lever pushes into is different. The 4th gen one has resistors inside it where the thirdgen one is just a basic on/off. Your wiper blades will only work when you are holding the washer fluid sprayer down. The turn signal cancels don't work correctly. I believe this is because the main shaft sits 90* where the 4th gen is at 45* or vise versa. This makes the turn signal cancel think the wheel is already turned 1/4 of a turn when its straight.
Some thirdgen columns had radio controls, maybe look into that.
