headlamp help
ok hello here is my problim my headlamp switch in my camaro the plastick bolt that is black and has the rod going thrught it has broks now my switch is lose i have been to the junk yeard and tryed to get 1 off of a nother camaro but it in a tight spot and u can use your fingers to get it out is the a trick to this i am missing ??????????

it has to be pushed back before it can come out. you take off the little nub, then push it back and remove the clips to get the cover off, then you pull it out and disconnect it and your free. at least thats how i remember doing mine.

i do not see a clip just a black bolt with the rd going thrught it anf i think its screed on but it it to tight to turn with your hand in that little spot and it u use tolls like plyers it tars up the bolt and it is hard to even use those

Remove the hush panel below the dash. Look up at the headlight switch from below with a flashlight. There is a button that needs to be pressed with a screwdriver while you're pulling on the **** to release it.

Are you trying to replace the entire switch or just remove the **** to pull off the dash trim panel? I gave you instructions for removing and replacing just the ****. Sorry, I haven't replaced the switch yet. I'm sure it is covered in your 1986 Camaro Service Manual which you bought from www.helminc.com or eBay.
