Switches but no power windows?
Hi,
In my 88 trans am, on my center counsole I have 2 power window switches, but I have manual windows, I have changed all the fuses but these switches dont do ANYTHING ,weird?
Iv searched but found nothing, can anyone explain this to me??

One, or the other, but not both.
You say you have manual windows...that means you probably dont have electric window motors, so of course, the switches dont do anything.
Id say the most likely scenario is that your console has been replaced by one that has power window switches in it.

Its just my luck that it would be a replaced console
Im going to pop off the door panel to see whats going on here.

well if the doors have cranks, they don't have a power window assembly. You won't learn anything from removing your door panels. You'd be better off removing your shifter plate and seeing if there are wiring harnesses in there that would attach to the switches. If the wiring isn't there, your car almost certainly had it's shifter plate replaced and was originally built with manual windows. If the wiring is there, odds are the doors were replaced.

Only my luck lol

Any way to tell the door are original? VINs on doors?

One thing for sure your car didn't come wired for electric windows but have manual windows also. Check the RPO codes. Only thing is they are usually posted in the center console and if it's not the original. Well guess what, they probably aren’t for your car anyway.
