T-top or hard top car? For t-top cars, there's one screw at the top of the pillar that needs to come out. About 1/3 of the way down, there's one of those push-in clips, and another 1/3 of the way down there's a different type of clip if memory serves me. I don't re-use those clips so I really can't remember. In either case, once you remove the screw, you should be able to slide the pillar cover up and out, since those clips are mounted in slotted tabs on the cover. The clips will stay in the a-pillar and you'll need to remove them by hand and reinstall them into the cover before you reinstall it. Or do like I do and just omit them.
If you have a hardtop car, the piece extends all the way over the door opening, and may have additional clips. I can't remember, but that part of it is pretty self-explanitory anyway, and the part on the a-pillar is the same as the t-top car.

the hard top has i think five clips it might be four. you need to push up toward the roof and slide the peice out while still applying pressure. I dont know how hard the clips are to break but it cant be too hard because the previous owners of my car managed to break every single one of them.
