how do i remove my 82 t/a horn cap

fake screws ?
does it just pop/pry off the wheel ?
the entire thing ?
or just the round cap or ?
ive never pulled an early trans am apart i dont want to break it even though im most likely going to put in some other older pontiac steering wheel since my foam is worn off and i cant find a wheel like this anywhere no one has one, i need to get to inside my column to replace my ignition lock since i lost the damned key again while its been in storage all this time
thanks

ok i got it finall,y just the cap itself comes out of the wheel,
wierd...
but since i made a new post here anyways i will go ahead and ask to see if anyone knows what other models of pontiacs that the steering wheel fits and works from that looks good in these cars ?
these wheels have a really deep hub
mine is totally worn out junk condition, alot of foam missing especially at the top, no chance in hell ill find an original one in any better condition
who has a wheel from another year make and model and that fits and works well and looks good ?
thanks

Have you called any of your local auto seat cover and upholstery shops. Maybe they could refinish the wheel with new foam and cover......

hi there
well...
i would..
if such things existed out here in cornfield no where IL
we dont even have a tranny shop or anything else out here
i guess yall are lucky to have shops and places that do anything other than general auto repair, general welding(a couple small time shops) and a couple small auto glass shops and a coupel small time tire shops)
hum
i couldnt imagine such things
theres just not much population or older vehicles here, 30 or less percent of the vehicles here are 95 and older, according to the IL DMV records
i would just move to a better place but that requires resources that i dont have and never have had, and may never have for as long as i am stuck here,
I.E. i am screwed and live with what i have and the best i can until some day maybe i win the lottery or something so i can get out of here, and find real work and somewhere where stuff exists
thanks
