console lid..cant get it open?

console lid..cant get it open?
I think the spring broke on my console lid push button...any idea how I can get it open? its locked down and I cant open it....I want to try and not break it..
any ideas?

Maybe try sliding something thin like a nail file in there to see if you can move the catch.

I kinda tried that..but I dont know where the latch is..its kinda hard to get up in there ...with the way the push button is setup.

use a thin screwdriver or file and push rear ward from the center of the button and it should pop up.
