calling 89 z owners

where is the hatch release button supposed to be ? i tore the interior out of my car ,and i ain't finding any place that it looked like it went.

I thought they were always in the console between where the power window switchs go if you have power windows as well.

yes ,i have power windows. there is no hole in between switches though.but it's got the wiring and hatch pull down.

it is between the power window switches, if you have no hole you can cut one for the hatch switch.
