center armrest replacement

Hello, i went to swap out the center console armrest today and thought it was going to be a breeze. I got the armrest out, but the spring that holds the arm dropped down in the console. How do i get the spring back out without disassembling the whole console? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: center armrest replacement

magnet pen. actually, if you take off the back ashtray, you can take off the ashtray housing and have direct access to the bottom/under part of the console. It will also help if you unscrewed the back part of the console to give you some room to lift up the console...
