Kickpanel removal tips

Before I try to remove the interior kickpanel on my passenger side, I thought i would ask if anyone has done this before. Seems simple enough, but unsure if there are hidden screws or such that I need to look for?? What i want to do is access the power antenna assembly, or at least attempt it without having to remove the fender. Thanks again for suggestions.

Well, the kickpanel is pretty simple to remove, I believe there are 2 screws within the carpeting itself (along with the obvious screws around the perimeter). But thats not going to get you to the power antenna assembly. To get to the power antenna, you have to remove the inside lining of the fender well of the front passenger-side wheel (and yes, you'll have to remove the wheel too)...

I was told the kick panel was the only way to get to the antenna although it is a tight spot (aside from removing the fender itself which i really want to avoid doing). Have you been able to reach it yourself after removing the inner fender well? Thanks for the suggestion, I just want to be certain before I start anything.

Thanks agian.

Well, I'm sure if you removed the kickpanel, whole dash assembly and cut out the firewall, you might be able to get to the antenna assembly...wait, you'd still have to remove the heater unit...

I got an aftermarket power antenna since my stock one was dead. Its pretty tight space, but I guarantee you that the best and easiest way to get to the antenna (without removing the fender itself) is jacking up your car, and taking the tire out, then the linning. Its not as bad as you might think. Its just a bunch of pull screws along the inside edge of the fender. Its a some sort of plastic. Sadly for me, though, my aftermarket power antenna did not fit , so theres a small hole, that no one notices...
