Re: Seat Foam

....I know there are thousands of posts in here about removal of the airbag but what I was wondering was if there was a way to remove the airbag without the light coming on at all. For example the same way VATS is bypassed by using a resistor matched to the value of the resistance in the pellet in your key. I was thinking about removing the airbag and measuring its resistance in ohms and putting a resistor in line tricking the computer in to thinking that the airbag is there and everything is ok. Any thoughts?

Re: Seat Foam

...air bag removal.. warning light display.

Disconnect the battery. Remove the panels for access to the underside of the steering column. Disconnect the yellow ars splice (wires to the air bag).
Remove the headlight switch stud by depressing the small release button on the underside of the headlight switch. Tilt and lower the steering wheel then remove the cluster trim ring. Remove the cluster. Remove the ars light bulb. Put it all back together. Then, remove the air bag and steering wheel.

Replace the steering wheel with your selection.
