The foam on my factory seats is shot, so I'm shopping for something that allows for a harness, but can still recline. But, the problem is I have broader shoulders and everything I tried at the local ***** shop was a terrible fit. I was thinking about something like the Hunsaker seats http://www.hunsakersports.com/shop/item.asp?itemid=228. Has anyone else run into this problem/found a good seat for the job? Thanks.

 

I just installed Momo Street Racer GT recliner racing seats into my Camaro last December. They are much larger than the cheapie import seats. I am 6'4 240 lbs and wear a size 50L sportcoat (I have broad shoulders). I fit fairly well into these seats (alot better than most). The best seat I fit into is the Sparco EVO 3 which is an XXL seat but that is not a recliner and would also not fit into an f-body 3rd gen without making contact with the door panel. This Momo is about the largest seat you can comfortably fit into a 3rd gen and I had to modify the bracketry and weld the slider base directly to the Sparco/Momo 3rd gen floormount brackets. This bought me another 2inches lower and the seat will recline forward (allowing rear seat access) just enough to come up and make contact with the headliner which holds it in the forward tilt position (they are that tall and wide).

If you also look closely in this picture you can see I was able to get the factory shoulder belt through the upper seat cutout so it has proper function with the shoulderbelt guide.
