I have an 86 Firebird TA with no rear seats. That is the way I bought it. In shopping for a set of rear seats I find that there are split seats and bench, but the split seats come in both the seat back and the floor cushion both having a split. How can I tell which ones fit my car?

 

all thirdgen rear seats have a split in the bottom. To see whether you need a split rear or not, check the pins that the rear latches to. they're just in front of the wheel wells and look like the pin that the door latches hook to. If you only have one on the passenger side, it's a one piece rear. If you have one on the passenger and one on the driver, it's a split.

 

the type of brackets in the car for the back upper seat will tell you what will fit in your car

either solid back or split back

only you can answer this, unless you take pics of the back seat wall of your car

Looks like I have both pins, one on each side. So this means I need to buy a split back seat.

And you are saying the bottoms are all split.
