Lier Siegler seats

Has anyone ever seen these in a T/A before? I know there are a couple Camaro guys on here with them and know they were available for early Grand nationals. I have a set from a 85" T/A and have the AQ9 option code to verify, but have not been able to find any info on them for Trans Ams.

They were available on T/A from '83 to '85. Unlike the Camaro, the T/A had LS seats for both the passenger and driver.

Yes, they look similar, except that they have the Fbird upholstery. For the most part, they look like regular seats, aside from the extendable knee pad. Have a set here for sale. They need to be recovered. I have not been on here for the minimum time, so they wont let me post them in the classified section. Have pics.

Just for clarification, the TA seats above have been recovered in Camaro material. While they look similair to regular seats, except for the thigh adjustment as you mention, they are highly adjustable: thigh, lumbar, seat cushion and seat back. The driver's side (in my 85 IROC) also sits on an six-way electric track, so the number of adjustments is quite high. The seats, as far as I can determine, are fairly rare. You might consider reupholstering them and using them in your own ride. One note that I found unique was that the head rests didn't have a provision for seat belt guides--I simply used my OE head rests which eliminated the problem. I also had to swap them to my Camaro seat tracks.

Re: Lier Siegler seats

I had them in my 86' for a while when I had it. The driver seat is power and the side lumbars are manually adjustable with the crank on the side. I kind of figured they were rare because I never saw a set like them back when I had the car. These came from a 85' wreck that I had way back. I remember reading somewhere that they were a $700 option? Talk about a rare car, or at least a rare optioned car. The 85 was a 5 speed 5.0 HO that had a 3.70 9 bolt rear along with these seats. No T-tops though. I even kept the RPO sticker. I still have the rear. Another thing I wanted to put in the classified on here. Thought maybe I'd get another on someday, but I dont think it will happen. Too many other projects. I'm just getting rid of the last few things I have from it.

Definitely some rare options on that car. That's only the second 3.70 9-bolt I've heard mention of, the first being the one that's currently in my car.

How much would you want for that rear?

Re: Lier Siegler seats

Sorry for the delayed response. I could not sign in for a couple of days.

I was looking to get $325 for the axle. It has been sitting for over 10 years without use. It came from a low mile wreck that I had a long time ago. I dont remember the exact miles, but it was well below 100......around 75-82k. The calipers are gone and the brake lines are bad now. But it does come with the rotors. I had the cover off and the teeth look fine.
