Re: Installing Door Panels
both. I believe you're talking about the retainer clips. They hold the door panel to the door

Re: Installing Door Panels
well, what is supposed to happen, is the clips slide into the door panel an then are "pushed" into the holes in the door. If there are some still in your door, pull them out. make sure the clip retainers, for lack of better words, on the back of the door panels arent broken.

Re: Installing Door Panels
You should get a factory shop manual...comes in VERY handy when taking things apart and putting them back together. Everything is pretty much listed step by step on how to do this kind of stuff.

Re: Installing Door Panels
hey while you guys are on the topic, i have a set of door panels from a 87 gta. now on the inside of these there are metal bars that hold the plastic clips in, the metal bars have come apart from the inside of the door panel, is there any adhesive i can use to glue these back to the inside of the door panel so i can put these on my car?

Re: Installing Door Panels
yeah, I could never get the top felt/trim piece to align quite right. I just got frustrated one day and bolted them to the door frame from the top...
