Auto trans shift knob and button

Auto trans shift **** and button

How does the auto trans **** and button remove from the shifter to allow removal of the console, etc. ? This is an 88 IROC. Thanks, Oldtimer.

I'm not 100% sure if thats the ball style **** or not, but I know some of them had a pin under the top button (mostlikely older Camaros) but normally there is a "C-clip" on the front-facing part of the shift **** shaft. Pull that pin out with a flathead screwdriver and just pull it up...

I beleive it has a set screw in it , but , i could be wrong ........ lol hehe , you bet me to that
