Gauge cluster issues???

Transmission: D2J5/700r4
Axle/Gears: 3.23
Gauge cluster issues???

I have already searched all the threads to no avail.i have a 91 camaro rs and my gauges are all screwy,my speedo never works,my rpm say at idle im at 3500 rpm lol and my gas is all wrong/volts and oil are all screwd up.i would like to know if you have any suggestions on how i can fix this little problem???

any answer/suggestions are appreciated thank you very much

It sounds like you have a bad ground. If the ground is screwed up, the gauges will get stupid.

what do you mean exactly???where are these grounds located so i can check it out to see if there messed up???

The gauge cluster comes out as a unit and the connection to the wiring harness could be dirty. Also check all the ground wires i.e. ground wire from the battery to the fender, ground wire from the engine to the body, and ground wires by the fuse block. Have you tried taking each individual gauge out and cleaningand checking the connections there?

i just looked at the ground from the battery to the fender is riped in 2 which is odd but im going to replace all the grounds when i get sometime and clean the connection in the dash when i have sometime and see if it helps
