The black molded plastic piece on the top of the door panel. Can this piece of weatherstrip be removed and replaced? If so, what is the procedure and where can I purchase new weatherstripping. Or do I have to buy an entire top piece with the weatherstripping attatched.
Thanks

You have to buy the entire top piece with weatherstripping. Those are pricey too.

First of all, your best bet is a search through the jy's. I have found many awsome sets of uppers intact. I have also replaced (new) weather stripping to (old) upper door plastics. You do not need to buy everything new, the procedure for removing the old strip is just to remove the staples from the old weather stripping and figure out a way to reattach the new ones to them. I have a method but it will take too much time to type it, I think I have an old post on how I did it if you search.
