What does everyone do about cracked dash pads? And I found a 1991 92 z28 that has sat for about 7 years.The car is a non t top model with 152,000 on the odometer.He has put new injectors and fuel pump in it recently.5.7 TPI 700r4 all dtock good body, paint will buff to get by .Wants $1500. Is that too much for a car that is going to need a lot of seals and such replaced(from sitting so long)?

 

A car is only worth what someone will pay for it. I say 1500 is too much. Especially for sitting 7 years. That's quite some time. As for a cracked dash pad....replace it.

 

Where do you find replacment pads

 

Local junk yards, ebay, places like that. Just do a search of the site and most every question you have will have been already answered.

 

does it run? i paid exactly 1500 for mine that isnt a z28 and had a carbed 305 that had no oil in it and i already replaced it because it ran kinda crappy and smoked a little. plus the interior all needs replaced and the t-tops leak a little . the one good thing is that there is no rust at all no even a spec. but i still feel like i should have paid a little less. but oh well i love my carand wouldnt trade it for anything! i would say just go check it out and if you like it , buy it!

 

$1500 is not bad but you might get it for 1200. Don't expect too much less.
I just bought a perfect dash pad out of a salvage yard yesterday for $40. WAY cheaper than they are going for on Ebay. You gotta shop around.
