Seat Covers
I wanted to buy some seat covers. That are like the 91-92 style with the detached headrest very close to the original colors. I see Youngs F-Body and Hawks Third Gen have them but I wanted to know which was better or where you guys got yours from?

Re: Seat Covers
I covered mine with seat covers from Canadian Tire.
My seats are in mint shape (and I want to keep them that way).

Re: Seat Covers
Hi, J. The seat covers offered by Young's and Hawk's are the same kits. I think the manufacturer of them is prolly the only one who produces ready-made-to-fit seat covers for thirdgens.
The fabrics don't match original, but color would be similar. No one reproduces the original fabrics, so this is as good and affordable as you'll find without having something custom made by an upholstery shop.
Young's is the "new" fbodymotorsports. The "old" company was a very poor company to do business with. If you search the site, you'll see a lot of warnings to stay away from them like the plague. But things might have improved with this new ownership.
Hawk's, on the otherhand, has consistently received good reviews from the members here.
I suspect that the price from either place is very similar, so it'll be up to you to decide from whom you'd want to make your purchase.

Re: Seat Covers
If want the closest thing to the original, try "Classic Industries" I just bought a set for my 89 IROC. There not exactly the same material but they are very close to the color shade. The custom "camaro" stiching is missing in the new set which was standard on the 88-90 custom cloth interior. If want to retore the original look, these are probably the best ones for now until GM decides to re-produce for there parts line. Our cars are still failry new for restoration products so these aftermarket kits will have to do for now. I'll keep you posted how they will turn out. I'll post some pictures when this minor retoration project is done.
