Upper door panel trim seal zip-tied

Suggestion for reattaching inner sweep seal: I was mixing and matching door trim pieces and found most had at least a couple broken heat stakes retaining the seal. I didn't want to use screws for clearance and rattle issues. Small zip-ties worked really well.

JB Weld worked well for bonding the lower panel to the upper. Cure for broken pal-nut post and correcting some warpage of the upper.

Was that method visible from the outside with the window down? You did a good job talking to yourself, BTW

LMAO,
The window never went all the way down so I never saw the heads, one could always attach a self adhesive round piece of velcro, paint them, or something but I didn't have a problem at all.

Have you driven the car since you did this? I don't see how the nuts can't be touching the sheet metal.

They never rubbed on anything, thats why I used panhead bolts and they were barely long enough to get a nut on the back. It worked perfect for me and I never had any problems.
