I'm about to order an ABS headliner, but first I need to determine the color to get. My interior is a REALLY light grey, the headliner almost looks silver. I think it is the one they call it Sand Grey.


Anyone know how I can find out the actual color with a VIN lookup or something??

 

OK a little more research and I think I might have a Light Slate Grey interior...acording this this list of colors:

Light Slate Grey is the onely one for '82 that I can't rule out, so if the list is complete, that must be it. Unfortunately, I don't think light slate grey is an option for the headliner.

 

would be in your RPO service code sticker...not in your vin, and i can't remember...but i think 82 had it in the tag rivited to the radiator frame. www.iroczone.com has color specs...in the left column in the main page under specifications. I believe if it's 82-83 it's like slate grey or something there about. Later on it went to medium gray, but if it's that early, i would go with that. Check out the site...get some specs on your car as far as colors.

The car is definitely an '82.

According to www.iroczone.com it is called "Silver Grey", which is a different name than any of the ones I have seen so far (but a better description of the color). It also is not one of the options for the ABS headliner... so I may just get the "sand grey" head liner and hope it is close enough.

I did find a local shop that will replace my headliner for $60.00...but I am still leaning towards the ABS.

 

yea i've never heard of the silver gray. I would suggest from that chart you had to get the sand grey and see how that comes up. I"ve been thinking more and more about getting an ABS headliner myself. Lemme know how that comes out!

 

Oh, I read the title and thought it was because the origional poster was color blind!
