steering wheel swap

I have an 88 GTA. It has the steering wheel with the radio controls. I have the one without the buttons out of my 87 GTA that i sold. I took the center peice out of the one in the 88 and saw that it has 2 wires for the horn and the harness for the buttons. The 87 Steering wheel only uses one wire. Can somebody possibly give me a soloution? I HATE the wheel with the buttons. One way or another i'm using the 87 GTA wheel. It'd probably be a good thing if i had a working horn though. lol

Thanks,
Rich

Re: steering wheel swap

Whan I swapped my stock Air bag wheel off, it had a 2 wire horn, and the wheel I used to replace it (3 spoke from an 87 Firebird) had a single wire.

I just spliced the 2 wires into the single wire, and it has been fine, and that was 6-7 years ago now.
