Race seat install JEGS ProHighback Poly (help)
I have an 89 Iroc, stripped down the interior and took the seats out, I just purchased the cheapest "race" seat you can find, I believe, from jegs a one piece poly molded seat. Also bought the tilt adjustment/floor mount brackets and a slider mount/tracks. I dont know if anyone has tried to install something like this but under the carpet there are 2 cross braces that studs stick up from which bolt into the stock seats, my kit is smaller than the spacing of the bolts width and length, however its not flat enough to use the sliders, as far as I can see, anyone tried to use these seats? or anyone used other seats and bought an install kit? know where to get an install kit specifically for the camaro?

no one uses those sliders and mounts from jegs, they will not work. You have to take the factory seat mounting brackets and weld up your own tabs to mount the jegs seat. Also this type of seat is supposed to be supported in the back with tabs welded onto the crossbar of a roll bar or roll cage.
