Carbon fiber center console

i have an 83' Trans am and i do carbon fiber work. in my car i just finished the piece that goes over the stereo and heater controls, the top of the console where the shifter boot bolts, lower edge of the dash where the de-frost buttons are, and the door panels infront of the locks.

it came out amazing! and i have enough carbon fiber left i could do it again if somebody else was interested. it takes about $50 in materials to do it.

Re: Carbon fiber center console

how about some ok tides and you would be better off trying to sell stuff for the 85- up style since more poeple have that style.

Re: Carbon fiber center console

If you made manual shift plates for the 82-85 and 86-92 firebirds, Im sure you could make ALOT of money

Plus, the CF craze will help sales

Re: Carbon fiber center console

Pics would be nice. I take it you made a mold and then layed the carbon up by hand? I have done a bit of fibreglass work and have often thought about having a go at CF

Re: Carbon fiber center console

It doesn't look like the author is coming back to this thread, but I found this on you tube. It actually looks really good I wouldn't have done the gas cover though.

Re: Carbon fiber center console

you think so? If it is it looks pretty good, I wouldn't personally go with a carbon fiber interior but I think it looks pretty cool.
