question for anyone who put new carpet in!!!

Well i got new black carpet from ACC with mass backing. I put it in, and started trimming it up, very roughly. I have to go back and make the final cuts, it seems harder then i thought it would be. Does anyone have any pointers or tricks? i guess my plan of attack now it to bolt in the plastic panels, smooth the wrinkles out, and move on so on and so forth....

Dont cut it completely until all the wrinkles are out or they will come back

I used bricks and cinder blocks to stretch it out as best I could

leaving it out in the sun helps to warm the carpet and get the wrinkles out IMO

I found the best way to install auto carpet is to wait for a nice hot day, spread out the carpet in the car early in the morning and get it as in place as possible close up the car and let it set for a few hours, open it up, most all wrinkles will be gone, trim with a NEW razor knife, don't hack it up. I've done it several times with different types of cars and this does the trick. Don't get in a hurry set aside a full day.......
