roofing material for sound deadening
I'm going to try a roofing product called "blueskin" on my interior for sound deadening. It's made with the exact same stuff as raamat and dynamatt except it is dirt cheap compared to those products. The only diffrence is the companies selling them as "auto inteiror sound deadeners" put tin foil on them, the product im using has a hard but very flexible plastic covering.

Let us know how it works out. I really want to quiet down my interior, but I can't justify the price of dynomat.

When installing windows in a residential home, a product called "window wrap" (brand name) is used. Exact same thing as those pricier products, but runs about $22 for a 200' x 6" roll.

Ya i can't justify the prices of the brand names either (DYNAMAT, RAAMAT etc..) , its only rubberized asphalt
Make sure you get the stuff with low tar content and you might not want to get the stuff with the granules on it becuase on a really hot day the granules can sink through and get all over your carpet and oter stuff.

I've compared the roofing product peel n seal, vs the name brand Second Skin, and there is no comparison. The roofing stuff is thinner and doesn't work nearly as well even with double layers. It's also a lot harder to work with.
I'll stick with my expensive name brand that actually works like it was made to, versus something that really doesn't. The higher end products are not the same anyway. They are all rubber with NO tar/asphalt mixture.

They all have asphalt in them thats the only way they stick. And the roofing material is actually thicker I find.

Hush mat makes many different thickness of a black foam. I use hush or dynomat with the metal top (for heat) then cover with the foam sheets. it compresses down real easly. great stuff. And at cost dyno and hush realy is cheap. Look around see what you can get. I payed $80 for a case of dynomat with the metal top. About the same on the foam mat. Covered all floors and doors.
