Seat Belt Buttons

I have read all about the seat belt button recalls, but I had already ordered new GM buttons. I cannot seem to get them installed though. Can someone who has done this give me some pointers???

Thanks!

Re: Seat Belt Buttons

The kit should have come with instructions and a special tool. The tool is not really needed but it helps, I went down to the JY and pulled a few bad belts just to pratice on. It is a fairly easy job just take your time and be patient.

Usually takes me less then 5 minutes now.Use the screwdriver trick I mentioned and it should pop right into place

My first attemt, I wasn't so fortunate.* I had to reinsert the spring, the part that holds the spring etc It was a learning experience but well worth it in the end.
