Nordskog Digital Dash questions

I found a Nordskog digital dash being sold for $300. The dash is in an 82 camaro (like mine) but the sellers car doesn't have the original engine in it (it was a 2.8 but is now a 90 TPI 350, dont know if it matters or not). I swapped my iron duke for a carb'd 350 w/ no computer or emission controls.

I notice on the Nordskog site they list 3 different dashes for 3rd gens. Does anyone know the difference between the 3? If I get the sensors needed, would this dash likely work in my car even though there are no computer controls?

I searched, but I'm really in the dark about digital gauges and all that will be required for them to function correctly. I'm not 100% sure if all I need is the sensors or if its more complicated than that.

Thanks

Noone?

I guess the assumption I am making is that I can use digital gauges with my car that has no computer, etc, correct? I just have to buy the corresponding sensors to replace the factory ones?

yes/no?

Re: Nordskog Digital Dash questions

i would ask them directly, i believe the 3 different ones was for the 3 different year periods like 82-84 85-89 and 90-92

and sensors are needed if you have idiot lights instead of actual gauges for temp, oil etc...

for different engines thats a specific question for them

Re: Nordskog Digital Dash questions

I don't see why it wouldn't work. The guages are just looking for a signal, it doesn't care if it has a v-6 or a v-10. As long as you have the sensors you won't have a problem. The shape of the cluster is different between the years but I don't think the voltage the sensors put out changed any. The 90-92 dash needed a different water temp sender wich they supply and you will need a analog to digital speed sensor for your year.

Re: Nordskog Digital Dash questions

You will need the transducer to convert the mechanical signal of the speedo to a electrical impulse for the digital speedo.Nordskog has this little bugger if the seller doesnt have it.I have an old lense for sale i painted around the readouts so only the digits are visible.
